Why i hate the saints row fanbase. (rant)

In order for that Civil War to happen, we have two choices

1.) The remaining Saints happen to tumble along a new planet, that conveniently happens to have a clone of Earth and gang of Saints without a leader. Then they follow the Boss and [insert nonsense story here] one of the Saints splits taking half of the group away.

2.) The remaining Saints on the ship start gettin it on, and pop babies left and right. Babies grow up to become the new Saints gang. Then they follow the Boss and [insert nonsense story here] one of the Saints splits taking half of the group away.

As the series sits, there are far too few people left. Not only that, but they are all on board a single ship. The game is locked in a corner and needs a major hit of deus ex machina to get out of it.

1) If I were the creative director, I would rather have the Saints find that super-earth discovered recently by NASA "Keper 452B" and settle down there.

2) I liked the idea of poppin' babies left and right. Right. So, now we'll have a 'woohoo' and a 'try for baby' option in Saints Row similar to Sims? LOL! I'm definitely in.

@3bertrand1993 Or if we've seen an invasion before, we know Zinyak's exact strategy for it. Why not grab some Zin tech before going into the time machine and use it to surprise Zinyak himself when he shows up for the invasion. Though, that would alter the entire course of SR4, and make Volition look dumb. Critics would say Volition had no idea at that time of what they were doing and now they're ashamed of SR4 and want to take the series elsewhere. They'll have to tread carefully if they decide to go with this one.

They hint towards a time travel/return to the past as one of the endings in GooH. That's all we know.

Going back to the topic of the "Civil War" idea the Saints aren't the only surviving humans left. As a matter of fact in the White House mission you'll hear some radio chatter about UFO's abducting people en masse throughout Tokyo, London, Rio de Janeiro and just about every other major city in the world. This essentially means that a good 25-70 percent of the population might have simply been abducted and stored within the various ships in the Zins fleet. So assuming the "New World" ending in GOOH is canon, the Saints settle on this new planet (for simplicity's sake lets just call it Keplar for now) however this eventually backfires as the locals (who suspiciously enough look exactly like the humans), Zin and some of the remaining humans betray the Saints which leads to the Boss and co. ending up in cryo-stasis.
