SPOILERS About The Ending... (Please Finish game before Viewing)

What you have to remember is that this just the ETD dlc gone awol. The Idea was too big to stick in DLC form so It's released as a new game, arguably they could have made saints row 3.5 and not a direct sequel BUT it leaves a nice wide open gap for what happens next. Due to the ending I can only assume we're next off on a time traveling expedition, hence the Jane Austen line at the end. But it could also lead to so much more, I hope.
I do believe that we will be using the Zin mothership and such as HQ but in SR5. It would make a pretty crappy ending if that was it, forced back to title screen to load an earlier save to finish your challenges.

TLDR, you finished the game, that's it... done... re-entering the sim just for fun/100% completion. You want zin ship hq, wait for the next game :p

Don't know. I mean super powers and aliens are nice and all... but I'm hoping for a reboot. Saints Row IV is as much a Saints Row game as the first, second or third, but it did kind of drift away from the idea that attracted a lot of people to it: the fact that it was like GTA only less boring.

If we do end up traveling trough time though it wont be all super powers and aliens, it's time travel not more simulation... think "the Saints invade Red Dead Redemption" , lets be honest a far superior game to the GTA series. Ganstas on Horseback... hells yeah! it'll be almost like a full reboot. New ways to get around, new olde time weapons, all new Homies and all that mess, you'll just have to put the "earth is dead" thing out of your mind i guess. Again though only speculation on the last line of the game... who knows whats next.

You'll need to explain this one a bit more...

Why would you fight a head-on battle wich is lost already ? The Zins are way more powerful than us with better tech, so why would you fight against them head on when the odds of loosing are 100% ? they even plow through earth defenses like a hot knife on soft butter.

The correct question would have been "Why do you play a game in game?".

But if you're saying "what's the point of killing a person if they're not real ?", why do you play games, cause the persons you're killing in SR2 SR3 are't more real than in SR4.
As to "Why would I play a game in a game", well....it's still a game, no matter the levels of simulation, it always boils down to playing a game.

No, I meant why are they back at all, in other words, why do I have to kill them again? Some of them (Maero, Julius) twice even?! Come on.

Because they're screwing your simulation, as for they're in your simulation, it's because the've escaped from your homies "personnal nightmares".

Well what would make more sense? Working with Dane Vogel to become the biggest fish in the small pond of the gangs of Stilwater and live a comfortable life, or wiping out all of the gangs then taking over Ultor and throwing Vogel out of a window?

The latter: Vogel isn't trustworthy at all, so would you work with someone hiding a knife behind his back or have the business for yourself ? Especially being the boss and thus having esperienced treason firsthandly.

Since when has Saints Row been about taking the sensible route?

Not often, but the logical route is quite a common choice in SR4.

Yes, and enslave it, not destroy it. Like they supposedly did in the simulation. Imagination isn't your strong point is it? Play Half-Life 2, you'll understand.

No, not really. It's just redundant and stupid. And I didn't say that.

Where are you going with this...

Like Johnny Gat's comeback? Ether Johnny's kidnapping was so elaborate that it managed to trick the Morningstar into thinking that they've killed him and mailed his body to the Saints, and the Saints into thinking that they've actually burried him AND resurrected him as a zombie, or Volition simply ignored them and decided to bring him back anyway. Honestly, it would have made more sense if he was a clone or a hologram or something.

Hey, can you guys answer some of my questions ?

Why does the SR3 Shaundi have 2 simulations ?
Why did Aisha die, if we saved her ?
When did that '' SaintsRow_DeadIsland_2015 '' message appear? I've finished the game, but I haven't seen it
How did we get superpowers inside Zinyak's Ship ?
Why didn't we find a body for SR2 Shaundi, like we did for CID ?
Why can't Kinzie find a program that deletes all of the Zin, after we beat the game?
If the gangs were made out of the memory of someone (Gat) why couldn't we save Carlos, Lin, Troy, Laura and Tobias?
Why couldn't we use The Boss's memory like Zinyak used Gat's, to save Josh Birk, Oleg, Viola, Kiki, Zimos and Burt Reynolds ? Those were ALL of his homies in SR3 that were killed.
Yeah that game was pretty confusing, and those are the questions that bother me the most.

EDIT:

And if the Simulation was to break you, and since the onlye SR3 gang that appeared on the game was The Morningstar, why didn't the game take place in Stilwater ? It would have made the most sense.

-Cause she's changed so much that her old self and her new self were two different persons in the simulation, or something like that.
-Aisha died in SR2, that was just Johnny's simulation. The President "saved" her in the simulation so that Johnny would let go, cause otherwise he'd try to save her in vain forever.
-I think it appeared during the red screen of death, when the boss nearly got trapped in the simulation while it was shutting down. That's also when the SR1 menu with "load prequel" appeared.
-We didn't, those were the power armor's functions, which happened to be identical to the super powers from the simulation and blah blah blah... Iron Saint is a parody of Iron Man.
-Good question.
-The simulation was supposedly deleted / shut down / destroyed before the final mission, just like the galaxy (more or less) in Mass Effect 3.
-Because Volition.
-Because they were still on Earth, they hadn't been captured yet, and the Earth was blown up. Exactly as to why none of them seemed to give a s**t about the White Crib being crushed and the president kidnapped is beyond me.

EDIT: Cause Stilwater is already a s**thole, no amount of alien towers can make it worse.

I don't need Half-life 2 to use logic; against an ennemy way more powerful than you, you just don't use brutal force

No, not really. It's just redundant and stupid. And I didn't say that.

Then playing a game is stupid, after all why try to conquer a city that doesn't even exist ? what's the point ?
As for the redundant part, that's just a mise en abyme, a setup that has been used quite a lot in many form of media

Where are you going with this...

Nowhere, just explaining

Johnny Gat's disapperence makes sense.....it IS a afterthough but an afterthough that makes sense, if it wasn't for THQ who scrapped Gat's death scene, there wouldn't have been room for bringing him back, since his death would've been on screen...Rember one of the most important rule of fiction: if you don't attend personnally at the autopsy, you can't say if someone is dead for sure (yes, I yelled a lot of "Go check the body you fool !" during SR2)

I'm assuming its sort of the same simulation because you didn't need to go to the broken shelleigh to get into the 2nd one.

She did?
EDIT: Misread, thought you said Asha.
She's just a program in the Johnny's simulation.

When you were trying to exit the simulation at the end of Grand finale part 2, some error messages appear on the screen. That's where it appears.

At one part before the free fall, you managed to find some power armour which you equip.

MrDragon'sRow said:

I'm assuming that's because its a figment of Shaundi's mind so you might end up having a paradox of some sort? She also didn't request to have a body unlike CID.

MrDragon'sRow said:

You mean in the simulation? Technically, the post-game is non-canon so what happens there is not under any story. Besides if they remove the Zin from the simulation, the game becomes pretty bland.

MrDragon'sRow said:

I assume that's because they weren't trigger to manifest in the simulation unlike the gangs that were triggerd by Zinyak who's in full control of the simulation. You can't do that at the end because according to the story, the simulation's gone.

Same reason as above. Its possible that they could go back in time to bring them back from before the Earth's destruction.
