Am I the only one actually looking forward to this?

Seriously, all the complaining here and on YouTube doesn't really scan with me. I mean, while the new city may be about half the size of Steelport, it's still an all-new sandbox, complete with new enemies and weapons. As for complaints that it's too wacky, I'd just like to remind everyone that this is how SR2 was advertised:
Saints Row has always been a mixture of serious and silly, and I see no reason that can't continue here. Plus, the biggest complaint I've seen from long-time fans is that the story with Dex was left hanging, and his voice actor has confirmed he'll be in this. In short, it's priced like an expansion, has an all-new city, and ties off the loose end with Dex. Isn't that exactly what self-professed "old school" fans complained about SRIV not doing? As far as my two cents, I'm fucking pumped. My only real worry is that it'll be a little weird not playing as the Boss, but on the other hand, who doesn't wanna be Johnny Gat?

I have no problem with the plot for Gat Out of Hell or the direction the series has been heading in since Saints Row: The Third. My only gripe with this is the fact that we're limited to playing as only two characters out of a possible seven (not counting Keith David, Jane Austen, or Zinjai).

Actually, I seriously don't care to play as Gat. I like him OK as a character, but I think I liked him more as a memory, a point of reference or motivation for some things in 3 and 4. His awkward actions and inability to gel with the survivors in 4 shows how out of place he really is in the franchise now. The only thing that I really find interesting in this new offering is more about Kinsie. For that reason, I will likely get this stand alone expansion.

I have alot of complaints that I COULD make (not playing as boss, world size) but the truth is I cant complain about a game I haven't played yet, besides those two facts the game could be fucking amazing, ive got no complaints until I play the game. The trailer looks awesome and im looking forward to giving it a razz.

I am so excited for this I cant believe there doing this like I said to my self how can saints row get anymore wacky well this is taking wacky to fucking crazy lol like seriously I am curious on johnny gat having devil wings and prototype like arm and all. What does this mean that your president will have a wife in future saints row games and that means the coop player will actually take part in the story instead of being like a help and hand and standing there and not being acknowledged sounds like a great turn around for the series can't wait to find out.

The not playing as the boss thing is kind of out of left field. I won't complain as long as the boss that shows up in the cutscences is the boss we made in IV, and we get an option for Robin Downes to do his voice. (Been using his voice since 2. I'll be beyond disappointed if he isn't in this.) I'm thinking we'll get the option to play as the boss by beating the game or something. Idk. If not I'm sure someone will mod it in. If it can't be done, and none of the above is true either, yeah I'll bitch a bit. But I'll get over it. Haven't missed an SR game/dlc yet (Grew up with the series really.), and I don't intend to start here.

The British voice in SR2 wasn't done by Robin Atkin Downes but by Charles Shaughnessy. I prefer Charles' over Robin's but still like them both.

Wow, I had no idea. I honestly thought it was the same guy. They sound similar enough, but it's been a long time since I played 2. I remember being initially peeved that there wasn't a normal white guy voice in 2, but the gruffness of the voice and the accent really grew on me. Didn't even touch the normal voice when 3 rolled around. Went straight for Robin, and just assumed it was the same guy from 2 because of the same general gruffness and accent. I'm probably one of those guys who think all British people sound the same. Dang.
