DLC Opinions?

Gangstas in space was short, but very enjoyable. I loved the soundtrack. But yes, I wouldn't have minded it if the DLC would add +/- 10 hours to the game instead of 1. But perhaps the Trouble with Clones will be bigger. You never know. The Genki Bowl was a bit longer, but like said above, a recycling of old activities, except the skydiving. That was fun. And the Yarngasm was also very funny. The blood suck pack... I don't mind the new vampire growl and bite. I just think, getting money and respect is WAY to easy now.

I actually liked Gangstas in Space. Kind of a simplistic story, granted, but Jenny's story was a textbook example of a good character arc, and I liked the way she and the boss interacted over the course of the missions.

Yeah. But I first halfly expected more RPG elementl, almost Mass Effect like. xD That would be epic.

And now that the next DLC has hit guess give this thread a poke. So what is the worth of Trouble with Clones? Does it actually influence the game's story any? They hint about a "lost friend" but that says zilch.. does it actually give any closure etc or at least an update on story? Or is it its own little self-contained universe? Is it fun to play or a lot more of the same again?

Trouble with Clones is the worst of the three big DLC packs, in my opinion. There is no continuation of the main story, and Gat only returns as a pea-brained brute who has around two lines. The gameplay is more of the same (shooting dudes). The second mission was definitely the most entertaining part, where you have to protect a singing Pierce by shooting bees at people, but it's very short lived and the song gets annoying very quickly. The bee gun is pretty lazily designed, too. Lots of recycled sounds and animations. Of course, the new weapons are not available outside of the DLC missions, and the only unlocks you receive upon completion is two brute homies. Just what everyone wanted. Volition doesn't really give two fucks about this game anymore, I suppose they're concentrating all their effort on SR4 right now. Unfortunately for them, I won't be buying it.

I quite enjoyed clones, the rewards were weak though, and once again we get teased by content we dont get in the main game.

Sorry if this was axed and addressed already.

Is it replay-able by default or will owners of the offal have to wait for a mod to make it replay-able?

I appreciate the posts of others that have played it and telling us all about it. Makes my inner cheap bastard soul feel warm and fuzzy as
it counts its coins.

It's replayable by default, just like GiS. I also really loved TWC, despite the disappointing lack of unlocks.

All of the current DLC is awesome but the future ones that I cant wait for are "Special Ops Vehicle Pack", "Steelport Gangs Pack" and "Unlockable Pack". Whenever they get released I will be waiting as I will never ever hack them because that will take away the pleasure of waiting, anyone else anticipating these three.

HIDDENThe Trouble with Clones: Love Johnny Tag and Aisha Brutella.HIDDEN

Talking on the "Steelport Gangs Pack" you will get two outfits from each gang which consist of a grunt and specialist outfit, so hopefully if THQ release Patch 5 we could eventually get "NPC Clothes Sets" and "Homies Clothes Sets".

The "unlockable pack" is the most shameless cash-grab I have ever seen by a game developer, and there's no way anyone with the PC version or a properly functioning brain should consider buying it. Honestly, I don't even know why Volition/THQ is waiting so long to release the remaining small DLC packs, as DLC sales decline quite a lot as the game gets older and older.
