DLC that YOU want to see

Well, with the device they get at the end, Oleg and Josh can easily be added if they wanna take that road.

Dunno. Why didn't you have to rescue Pierce, King, Asha, etc. like you had Matt and Johnny? Consistency isn't SR IV's strongest point.

Because doing the same thing over would be a drag and a bit boring I guess? Though I do wish they would just put in those missions and add an "Do you wish to skip this mission?" button for it.
But the game itself is pretty consistent. You do a main quest, you get side missions wich are the activities or challenges and you repeat. So they skip a couple of rescue missions? Though if those rescue missions would be there, it would just be another activity or something. Shoot everything with the mech and protect the one you are trying to save. Repeat for all homies.

No, actually not that sad they skipped those missions. xD

Besides, it's pretty clear why they did those for Matt and Johnny.

Matt is the first one you help escape, so clearly you have to do that mission to show you how you rescue them from the ship.

And Johnny has that mission because he's Johnny.

I'm sorry...but this made me chuckle.
They didn't want it to feel like a drag? The whole sidequest part the game is one giant repetition with the exception of the loyalty missions.
Truly, a retrieve mission for every Saint would've only added some more variety.

Umm... that makes no sense.

Narrative consistency however is completely in the toilet, and the lack of rescue missions or just cutscenes for all the crew is part of the reason why.
Oleg and Josh are another. Honestly plotwise SR4 often feels like a bunch of unrelated scenes and characters edited together randomly.

I wish there'd be a Kinzie DLC that explains how she escaped with no one's help, how she got out Keith David, and how she got a ship.

Personally wouldn't go THAT far. I think there are not so very much inconsistencies, but more... how to call it... vagueries.
It feels like it built up to the current point too fast, where some aspects might have had some benefit in more depth and explanation.

But then again, based on the 4th walls that were broken every now and again, Volition knows this.
If I'm really honest I think SRIV came mostly in existence because THQ wanted a quick money grab to try and save its ass, and Deep Silver figured it'd be a waste of precious money not to push through with it, so gave it some more polish and shoved it out.
I hope the DLC will fill some of those holes (saying this for the SR franchise feels like it's an innuendo).

But all in all, at least for this game, I don't care too much about consistency. I reserve the need for consistency for the serious series/movies/games. Just like I'm not criticising Monty Python for lack of a coherent story...if time weren't lineair to us, it'd be impossible to even deduce the beginning of those films.

Maybe if you hire Kinzie and Kieth at the same time, they'll chat to each other about it like the other homies do??
I know Shaundi tells Maero he was mean for what he did to Carlos... and Roddy tells Shaundi she's a weirdo for believing the plot to THEY LIVE.

EDIT: I should clarify, they DO talk about it.

I kind of want an expansion of sorts. I mean, like, I want more stuff to fool around with in the base game, and more mechanics - like new elements for the powers, new upgrades and the like, to fuel the sandboxing mayhem rather than just a 5-mission DLC or something. Normal DLC can introduce those too, but... they just haven't for SR3, so I have my doubts. Still, the hope is there. If nothing else, then I just have to wait a bit longer for the modding tools and I will basically have it. :>

Not really, it is questioned why Keith was the first to be rescued, with an awkward moment telling you only one thing: that the reason given is not the actual reason. I know your reply wasn't to my post, but this is the sort of 'vagueries' I talked about. It's not really a plothole, but since it is pretty much the foundation on which the rest of the story is built it does make it feel weird, since it's not something you can 'obviously' rationalise yourself.

Yes, I though the same.
About Johnny, is not because is Johnny, is because he is so important for the Boss.
