Saints Row Reboot!

Oh god... i don't want to be mean but this looks nothing like Saints Row or my personal vision of such franchise. It feels more like if Agents of Mayhem had a baby with Fortnite and then that baby grew up and had sex with Borderlands, and the result was a very a very generic open world shooter.

I need to see actual gameplay, but from what i saw from the trailer i am not convinced. We been begging Volition to go more in the direction of SR1 and SR2 but it seems they are too afraid to go back what it made SR popular. Not sure if it has something to do current woke times or something else. When they announced a SR Reboot i was expecting more mean badass characters that aren't afraid to offend and piss some parents.

Dang... i mean, i will wait to see actual gameplay. But these new crew is super bland and boring. So there is Coop which is great, there is character customization complete with new voices, also great! But everything else falls short. If i saw the trailer without the SR name i would had thought it was fortnite, crackdown or something else.
 
You are assuming too much from a CGI trailer.

The characters have nothing to do with wokeness and they are indeed returning to SR2 roots. with actual gang action

I will wait for actual gameplay. But my interest in this new game went down like 4 points.
 
I read an engadget article that gives more details about the game and the Chief Creative Officer Jim Boone calls it a "millennial power fantasy"

I'll be honest. It really isn't sounding good to me. I mean gameplay wise it sounds fine enough, but as for the theme, characters and story, not so much.

Something very minor and nit picky, but the new rebooted Freckle Bitches logo design, as if they are afraid of offending anyone with the old one, also doesn't give me much hope for this game.
 
One thing I noticed that somehow no one has mentioned is that the new "Saints" look more like Deckers, they look like they're Teenagers/Early 20's and apparently the new color is Light Blue instead of Purple
 
Saw the trailer, it's totally lacking any saints row vibes too it. I personally hate the new direction, this will kill saints row series for me and many others.... Why couldn't just remaster the 1st saints row instead of reboot it to this junky new look?

Volition isnt looking for remastering the first game and neither the second.. Even if we wish that so hard.
