SRV Confirmed + New great info!

As much as I love Stilwater, I don't know if I would like taking over that city again. It's been done two times already and I think the most likely thing to happen is that we get a new map.

Maybe they stick to some kind of pattern and introduce a new map every two games. Steelport again is quite unlikely. There kinda is no reason to go there again, unless the story somehow has Killbane trying to get revenge and taking back 3 Count or something in that direction, but I honestly don't believe that.

Maybe they will create an updated, more live and different Stellport.
From what i've read somewhere, Stillwater in Sr1 and 2 are different (I don't have Sr1, unfortunately)

The changes in Stilwater between Saints Row and Saints Row 2 are as if Saints Row 2 played like 30 years later other than 5 years.
Saints Row 2 added the University District, Mourning Woods, Trailer Park, the Suburbs Expansion District, the nuke plant, the prison island, the smaller easteregg islands, the airport is about twice as big as before, the Hotels and Marina District, the underground mall, the Stilwater Caverns and the Saints Row district is changed drastically. Also Mount Caflin was inaccessible.
They also fleshed out a lot of districts by adding more detailed decoration. Oh and there's also a new bridge that hasn't been there in Saints Row, the one east of the Ultor Dome.
There's probably a lot of other changed stuff that I didn't think of now, but as you see the list is long.
I somehow can't imagine a Steelport that undergoes changes like that with new islands and districts added.

Don't forget that SR4 ended with the Saints in control of the Zin Empire and a time machine, They can go where ever and more importantly, when ever, they want. Doing another Steelport or Stilwater would cheap and lazy. No, Saints Row needs to move past those two cities and build a new playground full of new stuff, new vehicles, new everything. There's no telling what the setting for SR5 will be, could be anywhere in the galaxy or anywhere in time.

I agree. Stilwater needs to be put to rest. We need a new, bigger city to take advantage of the next-gen.

Unfortunately, next-gen translates to "I won't be able to play it"...

Unless they're from Ubisoft or Rockstar, in those cases it seems to be quite the opposite since they are both in bed with Sony, and Sony always insists that the competition get graphically-inferior versions of the games.

The loony bin called. They said to tell you that they miss you and have kept your room exactly as you left it.

If you're an old-gen console player. But for PC there is no next-gen, it all comes down to optimization. I have PS2 era games I can't run well, even though I can run plenty of new releases perfectly.

All next-gen means for us is we'll get games with slightly less nerfed graphics. My PC isn't a high-end rig, though. Hell, the graphics card is a GT220
