pretty much. >< i sadly have the pc version of sr2 and volition hasnt released any dlc for it (gotr only adds the missions not the story of the dlc....) so yeah. after that epilogue mission i wanted to shoot dex in the head. though i think in the dlc he gets away. which is bullshit. same thing with killbane. WTF HAPPENED TO KILLBANE?!? the save shaundi ending was canon so that would have meant he escaped. hes briefly mentioned in one text adventure mission and his neon image is above the 3 count. he doesnt even get an assassination target. nothing. so im scratching my head as to what happened to that fucker as well as dex. idol can you ask volition to settle this debate once and for all in the future? maybe as dlc or something idc.
I was shocked that they had Cyrus working with terrorists instead of Killbane. Having Killbane be the terrorist would've been a great callback to the Gangstas in Space ending of SR3, since you're breaking into his secret base in a barren, mountainous area.

I don't know... Cyrus in SR3 was the patriotic hyper-militant type, and a lesser common villain type I've seen in stories are the former military officer/general turned domestic terrorist. Plus, his ranting on how the Saints ruined America during the first mission kinda fit with the cannon ending to SR3, where Monica Hughes sided with the Saints after the Boss ruins Kia's plans. STAG probably ended up being shutdown by the Gov't afterwards, and Cyrus probably got the boot for his and Kia's questionable methods for trying to handle the Saints, thus making Cyrus get mad and feel betrayed by the country he was originally trying to protect.I was shocked that they had Cyrus working with terrorists instead of Killbane. I'm going to disagree with Killbane being the better choice with leading the terrorists. Killbane might be angry, mad with power and a dirty backstabber, but somehow becoming a domestic terrorist wouldn't fit for him. He's a wrestler, or more specifically a luchadore. He still believes in keeping most violence inside the ring, literally or metaphorically. If Killbane wanted to get revenge on what the Saints did to him, he'd call them out and challenge the boss to a rematch. More likely, if Volition decided that Killbane cannonly lost his mask after Murderbrawl XXXI, he'd probably too ashamed to attempt it. He's a wrestler arch-type as a villain. His fists do more talking than bullets. The only way that I'd find Killbane more suitable than Cyrus for the first mission is if it was his Luchadore gang you were fighting instead of generic, stereotypical Islamic extremists.Seems like they didn't know what to do with Cyrus what with making him a terrorist and then Kinzie's greatest nemesis (did they even meet once in SR3? I forget) and hyper-misogynist (I feel like I skipped a page on that one).
I suppose Killbane the terrorist would make a lot more sense.

While I get your points, allow me to retort. Yes, Killbane tried to frame the Saints for the Luchadores ruining the bridge as well as attempting to slander them them at least over local television, but while Killbane had a violent streak in him, he kept most of that violence in more controlled situations. He had his Luchadores do most of the dirty work, and he only stepped in when he either found it necessary, or when he got pissed enough. He uses slander before he uses violence, another part of the wrestler villain arch-type. Even if Killbane would try to go to extremes to take out the Saints, he still had enough money to fly a personal jet out of Steelport, so he probably could've found a better and less messy way to take them out.Well, Killbane is the same guy who tried to frame the Saints for blowing up that bridge (as if that would've been the worst thing they've ever done) with a rubbish photoshop job.
The point with the Luchadores being a better fit than the generic terrorists is the fact that Killbane would favor them. IF Killbane was the terrorist the Boss had to take out in the first mission, it would make more sense to take out his gang of "invincible" Luchadores, as several people have remarked about Killbane's feelings towards his gang in SR3.Plus he'd fit right in with Islamic extremists, as Luchadores are about as insecure in their masculinity as they are.
