SPOILERS About The Ending... (Please Finish game before Viewing)

It's the fine things. Roaming around with Gat, Shaundi and Shaundi, the mech, weapon customization, the activities, mission structure and levels being a blast, the music and VO doing such an outstanding job, the audio logs and Zinyak text adventures. Also while yest he story does have it's big list of issues, it was still enjoyable for a video game. Like Sr2, I find my self replaying the game because it's just a blast.

SR TT has most of that, and compensates with other stuff for what it doesn't have, so why it's a "clustercrap" I can't understand. Especially since the game engine, the graphics, the gunplay and the vehicle mechanics are nearly identical...

Boring villains, no Gat, boring Shaundi, most activities being boring, boring and uninteresting story, collectibles where boring, mission structure was horrible(95% of act 2 where just acitives ffs) , hoorrible final mission and ending, level design was pretty meh, too many new faces instead of old faces ect.

Oh, and Killbane, one of the most boring characters to ever infest the series. Good riddance I say.

So basically the reason why SR3 is clustercrap "boring". Just like that, no arguments, just "boring".

Whatever, it's your opinion. Unfair, but it's your opinion.

I personally think that blowing up the Earth was a good strategy from Volition considering their declaration of SRIV being the end of the series and the Saints, leaving no reason to make a sequel.Saints Row is supposed to take place on Earth, right?

Imagine if SRV would exist it wouldn't even need to be named Saints Row at all.The Saints are now in possession of the most advanced technology ever(such as time travel) and there wouldn't be any sense in making another game because there is nothing for the Saints to conquer anymore.Maybe there could be a sequel, when The Saints go back in time and do whatever they want (as shown in the pictures in the credits) or reper the Zin invasion, but that results in a lot of possibilities and that would be too much for a sequel.

So because of the endless possibilites The Saints have after becoming the leaders of The Zin Empire, the conclusion is that it is up to the players to decide what The Saints will do with their virtually unlimited power they acquired.

And DLC mission packs?I think those will be about how The Saints mess up with the history of humankind by going back in time, which seem to be fun.

Yeah that's why when any series ends, it's setting is blown up.

Wait, what?

You can go ahead and explain to me what part of any of that requires blowing Earth up.

Given the way the series escalates from one game to the next, Saints Row 5 would have the player taking over the galaxy or universe.

That's more or less the same thing as SR IV, plus it's boring. Time travel sounds interesting, I just hope there's a hometown (Steelport, Stilwater, or better yet, a new fucking city) to come back to and proceed to murder, rob, kidnap, murder, terrorize and murder everybody in it when you feel like it. To be more specific, I couldn't give a lesser fuck what Volition does next and how they prepare our next sandwich, as long as they don't skip out on the meat (cars, guns, madness).

Well it seems like you didn't really understand what I said.Even if the Earth didn't get blown up and the Saints became the saviours of the planet, there still wouldn't be much to do in order to continue the story of the series. The game wouldn't be about gangs anymore as it was supposed to be.The Saints are idolized by the whole world and they would create a OWG(one world government) to maintain control of the Zin tech not to be in the wrong hands and etc...So that's why they blown the Earth up,in order to end the series once and for all.

I don't see the difference. You still kill aliens, in space, on Earth, whatever. Who cares what their reasons are.

That's the point ! Saints Row should be about gangs not aliens. That's why they killed off the series by blowing Earth up.Volition knew that after an alien invasion there is no turning back to the old 3-gangs-takeover-and-you-have-to-reclaim-your-hoods-back style. And if Earth survived,no gangs would ever attack the Saints again,as the Saints would have lead the world.
