SPOILERS Least favorite thing in the game?

It might be just me though, but I missed the randomness that you run into, and not when the main plot is giving you silliness to work with.

No, you're right. Outside the Story-mode, there isn't too much going on, let alone funny stuff that can happen. Although with the increased violence level of the simulants, you might get a little more action from them. At best I managed to get a granny open fire on a cop, then takes the shot gun and starts firing on my saints.

Just the lack of anything else, not even random events like in SRTT, more than counteracts this though...

Personally I preferred it to SR3 by far. SR2 is better, but in a different way, both are good games.

What I DIDN'T like though, aside from some other stuff, is how repetitive the "side missions" are. Every single one, save for loyalty missions is "go and do this checklist of random stuff like killing or climbing a tower or activities". It did mean I ended up sort of blitzing all of them quickly (I talked to a given person five times all at once and solved all their missions cause I'd done the stuff in free-play already).

At least the rescue/loyalty missions are fun. I also already did all the stuff they gave as side-missions so I found it fun although a bit repetitive.. but it was disappointing they declared it a "mission" and all. Least there's a bonus for doing what I did anyways.

Some diversions and jokes may be funny in SRIV, some missions may be over the top. But some important things where funny the last time in Saints Row 2.
-homies aren't funny anymore(near no dialogues, AI from hell, ...)
-NPC aren't funny anymore(near no dialogues, bad AI)
-enemys aren't funny anymore(i mean, is a single alien enemy better than the Ronin , Brotherhood and Samedi with own cultures and dialogues?)
-car driving isn't funny anymore(bad driver AI, i think, that there is only one AI for pedestrians and drivers)
There is no point at all anymore to stay in some place and watching the funny chaos, eg. an old lady in fight with a big Brotherhood homie, cheerleaders fighting Samedi, ... Or have you heard a response like "If you like us, why you are killing so many of us?" in Steelport, if you give a compliment to cop?
Some things may be improved in SR3+4, but Steelport lacks the fascination and deepness of Stilwater, it's a better mingame collection.

Two of my SR2 gameplay videos, maybe you can note, that Steelport is prettier than Stilwater, but dumbed down as hell. SR2 was slow food and i loved it for that.

I mean, i have problems with the setting of SR3+4, but worse is the lack of deepness and quality.

Isn't it obvious? If you don't jeopardize humanity's only chance for revenge by killing a much-needed ally over a harmless joke, it means you're a huge pussy.

well not sure what hes needed for, but lets see how other gangster bosses deal with it ;)
May be a German thing though. Most of us dont believe in ´harmless jokes".

2 things;

Telekinesis Rifts; long, boring, effortful and even you get gold, if you die before finishing you fail even if you meet gold criteria and all the good activities (insurance fraud, for example) immediately stop you in your tracks when you meet gold standards; are you actually serious about this?!

Cars; I think cars should of been rebalanced; superpowers make them useless; I just think they should of been given a huge speed boost

they should not give the unlimited sprint upgrade that early in the game, is because of that cars are useless. The collectibles finder kinda ruins exploration.

Last night, I reinstated cars in my playthrough - man how much I missed them, weird how such a small thing can bring interest back. But, some collectibles require travel powers and clusters force you to get in/get out every single time so I can see why people say vehicles are useless (and they ultimately are but I like cars).

One of the things I hate is that they didn't add much replayability to the game. After getting 100% of the simulation, there is virtually nothing left to do.No mission replay,no flashpoint, assassinations, vehicle thefts respawns and virus injections not replayable. They could've at least add some kind of system in which the Zin attack your owned hoods and you have to go there to fight them for some time and to reclaim your hood.

A save editor like that for SRTT would add some replayability, reassigning hoods to aliens and then come back with your homies to do targets and stuff.

Basically the almost complete lack of end game. As I see it there's not much point having you unlock most of your arsenal and the full extent of your powers through completing all the side missions when as soon as you've done them and you're the most powerful digital being you can be there's bugger all left to do.

At absolute best, assuming you don't blitz through the storyline and stop to unlock absolutely everything after gaining DFA and Shield, you've got 4 story missions (some of which you spend in the real world anyway) to use the full extent of your powers and arsenal in.

Even something as basic as something along the lines of a Borderlands 'True Vault Hunter Mode' would be fun - when you finish all the side missions have them reset, be more difficult and give increasingly outlandish rewards for finishing them like 'wacky' weapon variants (super black hole gun, rapid fire disintegrator, shotgun with a massive kinetic blast instead of the puny 'upgraded' one now - things along these lines).

This would not only give you a reason to bother unlocking all the powers but would also give you a reason to spend money upgrading your weapons and your characters skills (health, damage modifiers etc) because at the moment there's really no point to either of these faux RPG systems.
